No, it's not, if you are refering to the new windows phone 7, it's taking time but, it is gaining ground. Just because there're those people who can't see anything but, android and iPhone, doesn't mean that there aren't people who are willing to explore other options. I personally own a WP7 and I love it. Yes, it does still have a very small market compared to Android and iPhone but, it is growing at a steady pace.
Can MS do more to market the phone better? Yes, they most certainly can and should. I hope that this wear will prove to be a much better year, as far as getting the WP7 the exposure that it needs. Updates have been issued through the carrier form the beginning. Microsoft just need to stay on top of the OEM's and carriers to make sure that the updates come out for all current phones and not just a few select ones, unlike what Android seems to do. But, in my opinion, that's what giving the carriers too much control does. They can pick and choose and it leaves consumers left in the wind. If a person buys a smartphone that was just released within the year, they shouldn't have to worry about whether or not the phone will be updated in the future, especially if its a high-end smartphone.
