Well, none of it is REALLY secure, but you can certainly say they are RELATIVELY secure. If you truly believe it is all REALLY secure, good luck to you.
The other point is, I should NOT be required to allow auto-pay to avoid a ridiculous $2 fee. If I choose to control the amounts & times at which money is withdrawn from my account, that is my right. As long as I'm disbursing the funds on-time, Verizon (or whoever) has no right nor reason to charge me $2 just to pay my bill.
If you want to allow all of your creditors free access to your accounts so they can go in and withdraw money from your account whenever THEY want to, you are indeed a more trusting soul than I.
