A Valid Review After 1 Day?

I quit reading the article as soon as the writer mentioned that the review was based off of one day of use. I don't question any (-)'s that may be in here; I just feel that a worthy "user review" should be more like a full week than one day.

I've had the Verizon Galaxy Nexus for one day, the same as every other reviewer out there.

I've been using the global version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for about a week.

Eric,

Didn't the global version have the same sound issue as you mentioned with the Verizon version? I though Samsung issued an update to fix that, or may the update is still in progress of being made.

That version is nearly identical to the Verizon version.

In the context of cell phone technology reviews, a week is a reasonably long time to do enough of an evaluation to publish a review.

Also, the software features that are new in this phone were publically available for analysis in October.

I think that Eric's review is one of the best published so far. It is very accurate and convers the positives and negatives.

Most early adopters - the exact group this phone is aimed at - will want to buy this phone very soon, and would like a review sooner rather than later. Not to mention that it's the holidays, and waiting a week would be too late for most holiday shopping.

Unlike an average consumer writing a user review, this is Eric's full time job, so one full day is really quite a bit of time with the phone.

Also, as Eric mentioned, he's been using the global version - which is nearly identical - for a while. He's had more than enough time to evaluate how well Android 4.0 works in real usage.

Battery life is trickier, hence the caveat mentioned in the review about that.
