A hope for BB 10 device

The hope is that a new BB 10 device would be an actual, and true NEW blackberry device. Hopefully they release one taht does not closely resemble another BB device, and hopefully they release a powerhouse phone. The Bold 9900 is a great phone but it is by no means a powerhouse, and just becasue a phone has brushed aluminum or sell on it an a carbon fibre back, does NOT mean it is a great device.

Hopefully we can get a dual core BB with at least 1.5 Ghz of processing power per core.

My buddy has a BB 9900, when using the function that lets you use the camera to scan around to find certain landmarks or other BB users, the camera runs quite slowly and noticeably lags quite a bit. There were other functions on that device that I also noticed ran slowly, and that was supposed to be a brand new device ?

It looked new but it did not perform new.

I love it when I hear that "This CEO cut his own pay to $1.00 a year" line... how about his stock options??? Most likely a few million there.

Trying to pull a Steve Jobs. He did it the smart way, though. Fooled everyone for a few years with no salary or options, then went "Oh yeah, I need a jet and a mega-grant." And they gave it to him.

We need a BB with a new os, how hard is that. They could even tap into the android market and take out ms 7.

They need a special kind of dual core processor chip which is currently in short supply....

What are they supposed to do, manufacture that chip by waving a magic wand?

When there is a shortage of parts there's a shortage of parts...there's nothing you can do about it.

And currently there is a similar short of hard drives for PC's

The delay is going to hurt the company but it also definitely isn't their fault either...

Anyone know why they aren't stuffing current dual core processors into these phones and shipping them out the door now?
Then you would get a Blackberry with 4G that mimics the poor battery performance of Android phones currently on the market. Nothing special at all.
Even Apple had to throttle back their processors in the 4s to help battery life.
