This deal is bad news for industry workers and consumers. Hope it doesn't go through - even with the new proposal.

I definitely agree. If it goes through it's going to stifle competition.

I run a cell phone trade in company and bad news for me (and my customers) as well.

Hope the gov will see through this and keep them from merging.

We pay up to $70 for the Droid 2 assuming it's fully working and in good condition.

Compare that to other companies such as Flipswap ($36.72), CEXChange ($52.00), Gazelle ($28.00)

I hate to tell you TMo is not going to be around anyway so the "competition argument" is useless because DT has made it clear they will not keep dumping money into Tmo USA as they have been losing money for years. So either the biggest company VZ buys them or AT&T buys them because sprint does not have the money to do it.

Or another company buys them other than a current mobile provider, which would probably be the best solution.

There are other companies that might be interested in T-Mobile.

Comcast, DirecTV and DISH have expressed interested in getting involved with mobile.
