2006 Holiday Pre-Preview

I tried to phrase the headline in a way that would make some sense to consumers, but basically it's a report from Pepcom's "Holiday Spectacular" press event in NYC. Only certain companies choose (pay) to attend such events. Motorola was not one of them.

With that said, I don't feel we are being biased. All of the major phone companies are fully aware of the value of such events, and Motorola would have been there if they had something new to show off. They didn't have anything really new that we haven't shown you already, which is part of why they weren't there.

We go to all of these events, and we do articles on them when there's cool new stuff to show you. I've been to these events before where there was nothing particularly new or interesting, and I chose not to do an article on it. We'd rather not waste your time.

Similarly, we'd rather not waste your time showing you old news. There was plenty of stuff at this same event that we did not show you, because we'd covered it already in previous In Depth articles before. We're not going to waste your time with things we've shown you already, unless there's something new to share with you.
