v710 another Motorola Lemon

I have had this phone for 5 days. As I type this, the screen on it is completely blank on the desk in front of me. I am a Verizon Dealer, and this phone will be going back to Motorola first thing this morning when I get to work. I am going back to my VX7000, bluetooth or no bluetooth. At least I knew it would work when I turned it on. And for my part, I wish Verizon would drop the entire Motorola line altogether. I owe them thanks for fully 80% of my dissatisfied customers due to their shoddy handsets. If you are looking for the next great thing in cell phones, keep looking. This is not it.

I am not sure what happened, but my v710 screen was OUT last night when I turned in. When I picked it up this morning, it was back on, and has worked fine for the last 24 hours. I still am a little wary of the "temperamentalness" of this phone, but got the HS820 headset today and am so impressed with that functionality that I can't help but plug along with this handset. The headset is truly a wonder, and it actually uses a lot less battery to talk on the earpiece than the phone without it. Good thing, too, because I was not really impressed with the talk time no the handset by itself. The fact, I suppose, is that this phone just has so much new technology in it that it is going to have some issues...hopefully they will not be a consiste...
