Smartphone data will remain unlimited till January 2012.

Sprint will then introduce tiered data plans (will include a specific amount of data and overage prices) for contract customers similar to AT&T and Verizon.
For Sprint prepaid customers on Virgin Mobile and Boost, Sprint will introduce throttled data for their unlimited plans.

This new plan for data devices is very similar to the plans Sprint will offer for their tiered data plans for Smartphones coming in January 2012.

We'll meet back here in January to see if you're right. I highly doubt Sprint would do anything to jeopardize their one selling point.

I would like to see your source it would go much better than just saying something and wanting people to take your word for it. Unless you are trying to make a prediciton. Sprint has said they are not doing away with it so them changing a few months later would hurt them badly. If they are ever to change it would not be until this att/tmobile merger get's done with. I mean could you imagine the legal issue's that alone would cause ? It would be the final nail in the coffin of sprint not saying it won't happen! Also they could even be investigated if they did such a thing. I mean Sprint is a publicly tradeded company so just imagine the mess it would cause. Sprint in fact will keep the unlimited plan even if it starts to tank. Atleast that i...

There was an article on this very site, that read something to the effect that Sprint may or will cap data plans. If I member the article correctly, they said that they will. But, as with anyone who wants to really know the deal, don't just take someone's word for it. Phonescoop has has a library of older posts. The article in mention, is only a couple of months old. Wish i could give you better info. 🙂

Also just think of the problems Netflix is going through right now does it even seem logical for another business to take a flip-flop approach and heck netflix never went through with it and lost lot's of $$$ as a result. I know many people would cancel sprint as a result of the losing the unlimited plan and if they drop the ball someone may pick it back up and corner the market. That is my prediction.

Most people with Sprint would be mad enough to leave Sprint, if this happens. However, I think even fewer would actually leave, though. With no other real option to unlimited data, it's more likely most people will just stick with what they know. I'm sure there will be people who decide if they will be capped, they might as well go with a carrier that has better service. Whoever that is for them, they will just have to decide if it would be cheaper.

I would love to see a sources. They would not get rid of their only selling point. Especially after saying they wouldnt be getting rid of it. I hope you're trolling or just stating your opinion. If so next time say that its an opinion.
