It amazes me how the GOP can convince the middle and lower class in this country to go along with their pro-corporation views by telling them that the Democrats want to take away their guns and turn this country into a Muslim state. Ignorance runs rampant among the masses.

For you or someone else to explain to me exactly what 'problem' net neutrality is supposed to fix.

It's a solution in search of a problem.

Finish this sentence for me:

Privately owned networks need to be confiscated by the federal government because......

The only argument the FCC has been able to put forward to defend its actions so far is 'we want to control the Internet because it is not yet under government control, and stuff not being under government control is something up with which we will not put, because after all what is the point of having a government if the government isn't going to have control of absolutely everything? Government must control the Internet because government must control everything.'

Fix your intentionally loaded language. Then, I will finish the sentence for you.

Meanwhile, have you stopped beating your wife yet?

Umm, you make it impossible for anyone to respond to you because you are changing the facts.

Net Neutrality is NOT "Privately owned networks being confiscated by the federal government."

And, it isn't a "solution in search of a problem." It is a reaction to what the ISPs have already discriminated against:

- BitTorrent Protocol
- Competitive VOIP Services
- Competitive video content
- Etc.

That's not to say that e ...

I completely agree.

Putting the "net" under the governments control via legislation supposedly protecting us from those big bad companies is going to come back to bite us in the ass.

Just take a quick look at all the other web-related legislation our amazing government is coming up with.

The internet will soon be controlled entirely if we continue to let the government have ANY say in it at all.
