Hard not want to sign with them

They are making it very difficult to resist signing up for them. Currently out of contract with Sprint, and besides the huge price increase I find it hard not to wan to switch. These cities are near me and show that they are way ahead of the other carriers in LTE expansion.

They do have an awesome network, but somehow I feel I would need a second job to afford their rates...

I am in the exact same place...or actually a little past it because I have pretty much made up my mind that I am switching and getting the Galaxy Nexus...just waiting for the phone to get released.

I just switched at work from a Sprint USB Connection to a Verizon MiFi and the difference is everything one could hope for.

Louisville, KY market here...and sooo tired of Sprint's network being hit and miss with mostly misses in the last 9 or so months. Before that I have been a Sprint Customer for about 12 years.

A 2 GB cap for the same price as unlimited with Sprint. So what if it's fast? It's completely and utterly useless to the average consumer.

They are running a special where you get double data... haha.

But lately 2gb would be enough for me. Plus I wouldnt mind actually being able to connect to 4g when im in the Cleveland, OH area already.....

Your value complaint has some merit. But your extreme generalization about the data needs of the "average consumer" is way out of touch. The "average consumer" uses nothing close to 2 GB per month. So, the "completely and utterly useless" comment might apply to a data abuser, but not to the "average consumer."

You need to check out this thread on sprint. There are so many people fed up with unuseably slow data. This is why I left and it's only getting worse with the iphone launch. There is a petition gaining steam that should send a message loud and clear to sprint that what they're doing to their customers is really not cool. Expecting a lot of churn to come.

...Is that they are usually started by someone who is already biased. Blogs are almost always loaded up with posts that are in agreement and only the stupid counterpoints are retained. This is so they can be easily shot down by the blogger.

Since Verizon is already juggling 90+ million users (not counting MVNO's)and that number is climbing while Sprint's is supposedly decreasing, doesn't that go against your network congestion theory? That is the #1 problem I have with everyone who says this--because it goes against logic and reason. More people competing for the same resources won't have a better user experience than fewer competing for the same. It just doesn't add up.

Even if your contention is correct, slower data that's unlimit...

your theory on data congenstion is incorrect... although I see what you were saying

you'd wanna look at subscribers per tower...

you could absolutly have more data congestion with less customers because you network is small or less efficient.

You also sound like you are in love with the word unlimited... because it sounds sexy

2GB of data isn't that much of a problem considering 95% of the subscriber base doesn't use more than that.... most of anyone that would however probably already is grandfathered under the unlimited plan package

Regardless of Sprint's customer base fluctuations, the bottom line is that many of the people on Sprint's own forums and reflect real world experience. You can make the case for congestion but guess what? We all live in the reality of 24 hour days with at least 12 of those working and recreation. Every wireless carrier knows when peak usage occurs and it's up to them to be able to provide service...period. How would you feel if you went to Costco during peak hours with hundreds of your neighbors and realized there was only three register open for checkout? The whole network congestion reasoning is a pile of crap.....just say that your network can't handle it and fix it or give your customers the option to walk away without penalty.

Really, in my humble opinion what is the point of unlimited if it doesn't work. I also see your point but only if Sprint actually works where you live. Most of the time I am lucky if I can get in the 30k to 100K range for download speed here in Louisville KY. (And this is tested across multiple devices on different accounts.) And, with a corporate discount 5GB is actually $40.50 for me and with the current promotion it will be 10GB for $40.50. That isn't unlimited but it is all that I will likely need especially with WiFi at home and work. But, thanks for your opinion...it only adds to the forum's value.

Perhaps I should've indicated this to be true if you live in a Sprint coverage area. O...
