U.S. Cellular Passes On the iPhone, Tiered Plans Coming
Here we go...
Apple has decided to charge US Cellular more than any other company for the iPhone. Would you be willing to sign a 2 year contract and pay 169.99/month for 1 line of service after purchasing the device at full price?
Then if they still say they don't need it, tell them they don't need a smartphone then.
Explaining how accidentally using data on the pay-per-use rates could cost them a fortune also tends to help. The hard customers are those that will use their smartphone, but say they only need to use it in Wi-Fi. It goes back to accidental use outside of Wi-Fi, but that's a harder sell.
