That there isn't 1/10 the level of outrage or coverage in the tech media over this as there was over the most recent RIM outage, nor is there much outrage over the fact that the alleged 'killer feature' of the iPhone 4S has experienced frequent problems since its debut...

One might think that there is a double standard in the tech media when it comes to Apple products or something..... 😲

The main difference is the BlackBerry servers going down completely killed everything for them: emails, texts, etc.

This just affects Siri, you can still use everything else on the phone.

I don't imagine I'd use Siri too much if I had an iPhone 4S anyways, it just seems funny to talk to my phone and expect it to talk back o.o

when ive tested it, it works flawlessly about half of the time. So in my opionion its better off to do it your self, this way you don't get a computer that dosnt quite understand what your saying/ asking. (and don't tell me you have to learn how to talk to it) In the real world and in busy environments Siri is more like a "hey look what my phone can do"

This was my experience with Siri.

It's fun and it works better than any other voice recognition software I have ever used, but...

I only found myself showing off the feature to others and not really using it beyond that.

the stock voice recognition software that came with my iPod 4 works great too, never had a problem using it or having it recognize my voice at all.

Ah yes. As much as the media loves to build up companies, it enjoys even more tearing them apart 😁

Right now it's apples turn to be in the spotlight

Not receiving emails and pin messages vs not be able to use voice command on phone...
