I wouldn't be surprised if it is exclusive. Verizon has been all over that lately w/ the Chocolate and Q. 
Howeer, I don't think it really matters whose name is on it. It is ultimately a Casio phone, and casio makes some crazy good watches and from what I've heard excellent phones.
This is one case where I severely lament the stupid verizon interface though.
First off, what happened to the cool red color outside? I hope we don't lose that.
Secondly, anybody who saw pictures of the original interface will remember that it was some awesome-sauce flash thing that looked like a tachometer. I really hope verizon at least allows a themeable display like the 8300, because the plain jane UI would just about kill my interest in this phone.
