From 8% down to .5%? When I am standing outside in direct sunlight, a 900% reduction in glare will not help me, or anybody else. .5% reflection is not an elimination, it is a reduction.

.5% glare is nothing compared to 8%. That will help a lot of people and also eliminate needing anti-glare invisible shields which are around $25-$30.00 for a good one. Working with phones, I know that this is a significant step up in screen technology for phones and many consumers will view it as a positive advantage. 🙂

When I am using my ipod touch 4 in the summer at 12 noon, going with the fact that I do live in Canada and there is less sun here, I can not see the screen what so ever. No matter how I tilt, or angle the device, or even find slight shade, that really doesnt help.
The reflections would need to be completly eliminated for this to be a true achievement.

I'm saying, I would not pay any extra for something like that and I would not pay more for a phone that has that feature.

Take whatever reflections you see now, and imagine them at 1/16th. That's a pretty darn dramatic difference. I would say that's practically "eliminating."

To put it in visual terms, did you see the photos with the source article? They're also pretty dramatic:

And can you really not see your iPod at all even in the shade? You're not trying to see it through polarized sunglasses, are you?
