WTF is up wiht
It took them almost 12 months after the OS's final release to be updated with what is now the previous release of Android? So when can these phones see Ice Cream Sandwich? Never? Do I hear a never?
Gingerbread was hardly a dramatic update, and the Droid 2 was hardly an obscure phone.
You can whine all you want that I have an anti-Android bias. No sh!t- this speaks for itself.

lol and like Apple doesn't pull the same crap? You know damn well Siri is more than capable of functioning on the iPhone 4. So why is Apple pulling this B.S. that it only works on the 4s. The A4 processor is more than capable of handling Siri. Of course Apple blocks it from registering on their servers when using it from a jailbroken iPhone 4.
Don't get me wrong blue, you raise a good point about Android. Fragmentation is still a very big concern and it is f'ed up that these phones took an entire year to see Gingerbread. But don't like Apple is innocent from crap like this either.
Unfortunately this is the nature of Android. If you want the latest and greatest, you get a dev phone. Plain and simple. Sucks but that's the way it is.

I agree, it did take a while for the Droid 2 to get an update. At the rate that the phones are coming out im sure it must be hard to have a dedicated team (or person) set to one phone. Once the os becomes more universal we shall see more handsets getting updates faster. Until then, we got root!
