If I were a T-Mobile customer and got told I was being forced over to MetroPCS, I'd say "Psh yeah right!" and just switch to someone else.

I think its about spectrum sales, nevertheless going to be hard to port you over seeing MetroPCS is CDMA.

Correct. 🙂 AT&T is turning over every available rock to make the merger with T-Mobile go through. Divesting spectrum assets is one of them. If it means MetroPCS picking it up, so be it.
The GSM to CDMA part is going to be a headache only in the short-term until its converted.

Not to mention, MetroPCS may end up sliding itself into place to pick up where TMO leaves off, if the merger goes through. Besides, everyone will be using LTE soon enough and this whole thing with GSM and CDMA will be a think of the past.

That is a "Big" detail that a lot of people seem to overlook...Every company emplys its own version of 4G , meaning not compatible " X " company with " X " company...The Merger will go through, even if they have to divest %50 of T-Mobile but it will get done...They both seem very interested in making it happen T-Mobile has 39Billion reasons to want it to go through 🙂
