Everything has its huge flaw, and in this case...

a non-removable battery. Having a user-replaceable battery is, in my book, a requirement. Dang shame, I was getting rather excited about this one. ☚ī¸

thats the only way they could get the profile so thin. Also check out the battery life if moto's claims are true battery life on this is beyond amazing. 😎

Understand that... It's just been my experience I've had to replace batteries in phones (they don't always last the 2 years the contract does). I guess personally, I'd rather it be a tad thicker and have a replaceable battery.

I have to agree . . . I've owned the original Droid and Droid2 and find I regularly pull the battery for a freeze or to refresh the device.

So far all of these things have been an adequate replacement to pulling the battery out.

Plus in the case where a battery pull dosent fix your issue its either time to do a factory reset or replace the device anyway.

Now in terms of battery life being an issue and replacing it for a bigger battery, Im sure Motorola will do something similar to what Apple has done and make a case battery combo. It basically has a spare battery pack the phone can pull from when getting low and the case can be recharged.

I agree. A replaceable battery is essential for an Android phone. On vacation it has saved me time and time again. Not to mention how many times Verizon tech support tells me to pull the battery to reset the phone. An FM radio is also needed in phones. You can't stream everything and suck the battery dry. This unit lacks both. It's not for me.....
