FCC Asks AT&T to Clarify How T-Mobile Deal Will Add Jobs

Other posters in this forum have thoroughly debunked AT&T's internal job creation argument. So, I will focus on AT&T's contract and external job creation claims.

One, AT&T claims that it will contract out thousands of jobs in both consolidating the T-Mobile GSM 1900 network into the AT&T GSM 850/1900 network and clearing the T-Mobile W-CDMA 2100+1700 network, then redeploying LTE 2100+1700 in the former T-Mobile AWS 2100+1700 MHz spectrum.

Two, AT&T claims that rural 4G deployment will be an economic multiplier that will engender job growth in rural America.

Per the first claim, no doubt, AT&T would contract out many jobs for network consolidation and AWS 2100+1700 MHz spectrum clearing. Both types of contract work, however, would...
