FCC Asks AT&T to Clarify How T-Mobile Deal Will Add Jobs
Is this a Joke?

I don't know what will happen, bur I will say this. The FCC is not the Dept. of Labor, this is outside of their charter.
It's basically their way of saying AT&T shouldn't bring up the "We'll create more jobs" lie. Remember, AT&T is heading to a lawsuit against the FCC, so it makes sense for the FCC to want AT&T to hang itself on its lies.
You never know till the details get all laid out.
There will be very little centers saved. It would contribute to extreme overhead to save them.
The argument for creating inland jobs is a farce. ATT has the option to place these jobs in the states without a merge. ATT chooses to hold onto "Bringing back 5000 jobs" as a peace offering if the merge is granted. Pathetic display of bribery at the expense of consumer welfare and American jobs.

I disagree. With AT&T adding another 40+million customers you can't just cut jobs.
Actually you can. It's not to say you can cut them all (well, that is still possible, but unlikely).

I believe that it will create more competition in the current market however. Example would be the current Authorized retailers and T-mobile Corporate stores. Though not all those locations will remain open, I am betting that they will be offered jobs to help sustain the current number of customers that T-Mobile has.
OK, you don't make sense here. This will "create more competition", but "not all those locations will remain open". You're go...

This is the focal point of the creating jobs inaccuracy. Acquisitions generally implement consolidation measures. The closing of Tmobile stores will be imminent.A small percentage of jobs will be shifted from the already working Tmobile staff and placed on ATT's payroll. The rest will be trashed into the unemployment barrel once the dust settles.
