There should be no worries of purchasing a WiMAX handset and wondering if it will still work when LTE is launched.

Well its not like Sprints going to shut down wimax over night, you'd still have a few years.

Only on weekends, holidays and during solar eclipses.

I'm not worried about whether it will work. I'm worried about whether they'll extend the WiMax footprint. Currently, they don't have it on Long Island. At this point, I don't see much logic in my getting a new phone with WiMax when I can't make use of it, LTE will begin rollout, and I'd be paying an extra $10/month.

crood, same down here in Ocean County, NJ. Basically Sprint stopped in North Monmouth County to NYC. And on the western end, to like area's surrounding Philadelphia. I don't see them filling in any areas.

and that's what why Sprint sucks. They come up with good ideas but poorly execute them
