I definitely agree. Unlimited truly isn't unlimited if you are being slowed down to a realm of usage far below Verizon's "horrible" 2GB datapackage

Well said, but it gets much worse. You get unlimited on Sprints network, but the network sucks. You get charged for overages after 300MB off their network. Remember, unlimited doesn't mean unreasonable.

It also shouldn't mean overages. From what I understand of the definition of unlimited I would think that there wouldn't be a limit. IDK maybe I am wrong. Maybe I am a dumbdumb

Sprint really needs to set up their game. They will be bought out too if they don't get their act together. Just because you get the iPhone doesn't mean anything. They are just going to get a bunch of smug customers who want to complain about the crappy service and the "best" phone and how it is an atrocity. Mark my words. This is a bad move for them.

This_guy_right_here has no clue what the EFF he is talking about. "Mark my words. This is a bad move for them." This doesn't even make sense....how is getting the top selling device "a bad move for them"??

Because, AppleHugger, they are advertising something they cannot truly back. When people realize that people with Verizon calculators can download a song faster than with a Sprint iPhone 4s they will realize that it was a bad situation. I see Verizon owning Spring in 5 years or less

First of all, there is no cell phone company named "Spring" and actually, i am an "android hugger" get your sh!t straight bud. and....SPRINT, with a T at the end, has more than enough spectrum to handle the iphone, b/c if you really knew what the F you were talking about, you would know that android phones suck up more data than iphones. stop hating

Well my friend, now this is the message that makes you look dumb. Sprint rents their spectrum. They can keep the iPhones head above water, but do nothing amazing with it. Only someone who knows they cannot win an argument will resort to picking at spelling. And it is a sign that you haven't reached full maturity yet by saying things as "bud" and "stop hating". We are not hating, only pointing our obvious flaws. The iPhone being in the hands of SPRING is a worse idea than your parents reproducing.

what is the mathematical evidence that proves they don't have the spectrum capacity??? you have no idea what you are talking about. they are about to dedicate the entire nextel spectrum for 4g when they turn off iden. How is the iphone in the hands of Sprint, with a T, a bad idea? How? I just gave you evidence that proves you have no clue what you are talking about...now prove me wrong

and further, this iphone is 3g, and they have more than enough spectrum. when the next gen of iphone comes out with 4g, sprint will be the clear winner b/c they will be the only carrier with true unlimited, no caps, no throttle, with the spectrum to back it up

🙂 I certainly will. they may be about to, but they haven't yet, which is important. Because until SPRING does, customers will hate the service. When and if SPRING turns out the 4G, it won't matter because the iPhone is a 3G device. And let's say ti was a 4G device, that doesn't mean SPRING won't charge them for going over 300Mb off the direct network.

that is a lot of if's and uncertainty. all speculation. what we do know is that sprint currently has unlimited data for both 4g and 3g. For now, on this 3g iphone, sprint will be the only carrier with the iphone on an unlimited data plan. when sprint completes network vision, and dedicates the iden spectrum to 4g, it will have more than enough spectrum to handle data flow. by that time, end of 2012/early 2013 I'm sure there will be a 4G iphone, which sprint will be more than capable if handling.

like i said, i'm an android guy. But i do appreciate the business side of the iphone. Apple does not do business with companies it doesn't feel it will make money with. I am more than positive this is going to be a profitable partnership. i'm sur...

Couldn't have said it better! You are right about not being an Apple hugger but you seriously love Sprint-nuts, enough of plants or trees, I think you need to learn about the products you are reviewing before you try (and fail) to "school" us. It also seems that you are the only one "hating" dork

Your knowledge base is suspect.

Sprint does not "rent" spectrum. Sprint licenses public spectrum from the FCC. VZW, AT&T, T-Mobile, and numerous other domestic wireless carriers all do likewise.

Well, Mike, for someone who claims that "Sprint really needs to set [sic] up their game," you really need to step up your game with some factual evidence. The gist of your fallaciously circular argument seems to be little more than "'Spring' sucks because I say so."

In your profile, ignoring your poorly constructed writing, you do talk a big game: "My name is Mike. I use this site as a research tool. But, a lot of people are full of themselves. So I decided, while I am bored or looking for helpful information, I will ruin there self esteem and then force them t...

---" Remember, unlimited doesn't mean unreasonable."---

For some reason, this sounded more intelligent and mature when it was quoted by Cellstudent.

It must be because it wasn't attached to this comment:

---" You get unlimited on Sprints network, but the network sucks."---
