For now. Once the network gets overloaded with all the apple fanboys that are going to just ship to Sprint, they'll change their tune. Just like the changed, then eliminated the Premier program and upped the ETF. As a Sprint customer, I hope they prove me wrong.

I'd be willing to say Sprint is committed to unlimited data to the point that they'll run their network into the ground before they drop unlimited data.

Maybe not drop it, but I can see them at least raising the price or raising the "premium data charge." I think as long as they stay below the competition people will always say "Yeah they raised the price, but Sprint is still cheaper than those guys."

I wouldn't worry too much about the network. Sprint has enough bandwidth to handle the data.

I don't have solid facts, but from what I've heard, I think Sprint's upcoming 4G announcement is going to surprise many opponents from normal consumers to other carriers on its initiative.

I understand that this is all rumor mill right now but, what did you hear? I'm not a fan of Sprint at all but, I'm curious as to what they have up their sleeve. Especially, with the possible att/tmo merger in the air. However, even with the possibility of Sprint launching LTE sometime this year or early next year, i don't see how it will help the iPhone, when it doesn't even have 4G capability.

For better or for worse, Sprint has bandwidth that other handsets can utilize but the iPhone 4S may not.

The obvious example is Sprint's BRS/EBS 2500-2600 MHz spectrum in which Clear has deployed WiMAX. As the 4S is not WiMAX capable, the 4S cannot cause any congestion on the WiMAX network.

Additionally, Sprint has SMR 800-900 MHz and PCS "G" block 1900 MHz spectrum and has plans to deploy CDMA1x and/or L...

To follow up my own post, I examined the FCC OET certification documents for the iPhone 4S. The tests on file with the FCC do not indicate that the 4S supports band class 10 nor 14. So, if Sprint does deploy CDMA1x 800-900 (using its SMR 800-900 MHz spectrum) and/or CDMA1x 1900 (using its PCS "G" block 1900 MHz spectrum), the 4S will not be able to use that bandwidth.

Too bad their network blows! and with the tons of iphone activations/upgrade, you will see how their true colors go down even further!.

Thanks for using technical terms like "blows". I would love to see the artical or research study that you pulled this information from. In truth Sprint has a much more reliable network then ATT does and is prety much on par with the reliability of Verizon. Now that doesn't meant hat Sprint has perfect coverage everywhere... no company does. They are all peices of swiss cheese and you try and find the slice that doesn't have holes in the area that you need it. Sprints network is doing just fine with all the smartphone traffic that they have and since Andriod users statistically suck up more bandwidth then the average iPhone user I have the feeling that they will handle it just fine.

Store I work at (Sprint authorized dealer) all our demo phones have 1 bar and will roam off vzw network most of the time and we're in Brooklyn, NY. You have no idea how many customers we service every day that come in and complain about their service.

But it will be fun when I compare my VZW personal iphone with the store demo iphone when people ask how come the demo phone has poor service.

Thats not the fault of Sprint. It's the fault of the Sprint Representative that sold the service to them.

Sprint is solid where I live and where I frequent. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have signed on and remained with them for the last five years.

It is the job of the salesperson to inform the customer what their coverage area is going to be. If you are misleading your customers into believing the coverage is better than what it actually is, than you are not providing them with good customer service. Selling phones the wrong way is bad for you, your dealer and the carrier, regardless of carrier brand.

I think the above comment of yours, was a tip that a representative had to be involved with a sale to these people. The rep most likely didn't do his job to inform the customer of possible weak areas of service where the customer might frequent.

Just as a representative might try to sell coverage service to a customer that may not need in places they don't frequent.

I love when people give specific issues they have with coverage in one specific area and say the entire network sucks, brilliant.

I live in Center City Philadelphia and never have any issues with my service throughout the entire city. Having said that I am in Brooklyn atleast once a month visiting friends making my way there via the Bolt Bus (They let me take my bike) and I have service everywhere I go in Brooklyn with the exception of being in the subway.

May say that Sprint store representatives are the stupidest people I have ever dealt with over the phone :-). My goodness, they don't know how to troubleshoot the phones at the store and they're not willing to help out a customer, instead they act really rude (glinc). Do your damn job and stop complaining!!! I work at a corporate center and know what is going on with Sprint first hand.

If you were smart, you would know that indoor coverage differs from outdoor coverage right??? Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T wireless signals have to penetrate the building that the phone is currently residing in, keep in mind that tin and other materials can weaken signal strength causing the service to not work properly. That is the reason why cellphones work ...

to all of you guys who think that sprint will not be able to handle the iPhone... you guys don't even know anything about sprint. Sprint has the largest broadband spectrum than AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile. AT&T is ranked the lowest among all carriers for voice and data quality... And Verizon relies on Sprint for 3G coverage since most of Verizon's Wireless network is based on "Extended Coverage." So don't go saying what you don't know... get the facts first, then speak your mouths out. Sprint is the best in Wireless, Retail, and Price Plans. I believe that Sprint will continue to grow further since it is the cheapest company around with unlimited services, and I believe that they will certainly accomodate to network overflow since their broa...
