They've all been terrible. Most of Verizon's LTE devices spec about 1/10th of the battery life of the iPhone 4s.

Regardless, It lasts 2-5 times as long. I don't know of a single Android handset that even lasts as long as the iPhone 4, let alone 4s.

Yeah my Iphone 4 16 lasted two-three days and the most I have ever got from a droid is around half a day. Even with using the task manager apps free ones or ones that cost it's all the same more Google bloat ware.

When I worked for at&t, I dealt with complaints about poor iPhone battery life almost every single day, people complained that they would take the phone off the charger before going to work, and by lunch time it needed to be recharged. It is the #1 most common complaint people have about the iPhone.

How is someone a troll for speaking the truth? I have had everyone of the new 4g verizon devices including the droid bionic and the battery life is crap total crap and if someone says that and you call them a troll kinda makes me think you are the troll. I would take an Iphone over any 4g device anyday over crappy battery life ! I mean what is the point if you have to keep it charging all day to use it.

I agree I have had many verizon agents tell me to get used to it as that is what 4g is ! And I am tell them to go fly a kite by the power lines because if I pay $300-400 per month to keep less than quality service there is a problem unlimited data or not how can I use it if the phone won't last but a few hours using it or not using it.

My Droid Bionic with an extended battery lasts a good TWO DAYS of hard use.
Maybe the iPhone last a bit longer but I'm fine with my Android phones current performance given its Bigger Screen and Faster Network over any current iPhone!

I will give motorola a little break on this one because the Bionic has the best battery of any of the 4g phones out on verizon at the current time. But really why should I have to buy an extended battery it makes the otterbox case not work and you really get a bulky phone with the extended battery! I know some need the better battery but I am just a moderate phone user and I never really use the phone so the battery life should be better. I own the Bionic myself but I would trade it in a sec to get something more stable! Also I am not sure if it is a network thing or a phone thing but all the 4g phones seem to lose the internet all together in areas where there are no signal troubles. I often have to take the battery out of my phone resting ...

The difference between HSPA+ and HSDPA is pretty significant. Being that HSPA+ is the backhaul for 4g and HSDPA is just a faster 3g, HSPA+ is still about 2 to 3 times faster. Though this phone will be way faster then the previous iPhones I have to say that I am disappointed that Apple postponed its initial launch and still couldn't put out a 4g product.

Is negligible. I've got an HTC Inspire and an iPhone 4. They pull the same speeds on AT&T's network. The only difference is the iPhone 4 dramatically outperforms the HTC Inspire in terms of upload speed for reasons likely due to the HTC's crappy antenna.

I don't know where you heard that, but it's not accurate. Your use of the word backhaul in the sentence makes no sense. If HSDPA is "just faster 3G", so is HSPA+.
HSPA+ is an evolution of HSDPA, which is itself an evolution of WCDMA. They're all just improvements on the same basic technology. That's not a bad thing, it's just how it is.
Whatever you call it, the technology is commonly implemented with max. theoretical speeds including 3.6, 7.2, 14.4, 21, and 42 mbps, depending on the HSPA features implemented by the chipset. T-Mobile sells a number of ...
