Hopefully Better
I used to work in T-Mobile and I have to say that the old Hip-Top (B/W or color) was terrible. the O/S was half decent even though it was not cross compatible with practically any other one. the big problem was the manufacturing. These things are practically built to break down!! Every other call I would get when I worked there was that their Hiptop had physically broken in some way. I really hope that this one is engineered better than the last one.
One thing I will say though is their marketing deserve top marks. The managed to get the Hip-Hop stars to start using it in their videos which caused a ton of ppl to buy it (I almost always asked why the customer purchased the device and 1 out of 3 ppl said it was because it was cool and they...

No doubt. My sidekick fell about 6 feet and it shattered, the screen busted all up, the outside casing was nothing short of a disaster. I don't expect all phones to sustain every 6 foot fall, even though most phones are tested to withstand such a thing. But my sidekick was completely wasted like it was never built to withstand any abuse what-so-ever.
