Complete Crap

This is clearly a law or "resolution" that is trying to be passed by a republican. This law favours business and Craps all ove the face of the individual. The individual who proposed this should be fired, immediately. Going forward with this will not benifit the individual in ANY situation.

You WANT to get those calls? Get a magic-Jack for $50.00 a year and leave it plugged in. For everybody else, this is complete horse crap, there is no other way to put it.

"""As a result, the approximately 40% of American consumers who identify their mobile device as their primary or exclusive means of communication do not receive many of these calls."""

If you exclusively have a Cellular device, you are asking for problems, and that is your own fault. No carrier guarantees service, so when you REALLY REALLY need it, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to use a cellular device. That is the individual's fault, and this should not be influenced by certain individuals short-sightedness.

When my cell and internet go down, I'll break out my ham radio.

That's more reliable than any landline!

I need to have the right to opt-in to these services...

We have email to opt-in to these services.

If we allow these laws to change it will just make it easier for spammers to get a hold of us and piss us off. Right now I answer calls from numbers I don't recognize because it may just be a friend calling me from another number. I don't want to hear about my delivery from Oberwies at 5am on my cellphone, again that's what email is for.

They do have good milk, but that is besides the point.

Thats exactly what I was trying to say, too. Spammers, Telemarketers, and Barelly-Legal collection agencies will instantly have the right to call your cellular device. The people who really need that service have already found alternatives to it which are better, such as yes, Email. I don't want spammers and telemarketers calling my cellular device, at all.

This change would cause that to happen for me, and all of you.

Unfortunetly, not alot of companys would be willing to use email to spam you. Haven't you noticed auto dialers are already being used. Nobody cares if you have a cellphone or landline phone. You will get autodialed by whatever number you gave out.

some people who actuially want robo calls have landlines and magic jack as an alternative. If you have a cell phone and you are complaining you cant get these calls, stop your damn whining and get a land line.

If they do ammend these laws there needs to be a simple way to opt in and out of these services, for those of you who would like to receive these notifications, there should be a way to opt to get calls or possibly text or email. If I ever did opt in.... Send me an email. If it is junk, I'll delete it just like all the other junk email I have... I, like many people now a days, have 2 email accounts, 1 that I actually use and the other for just spam email that gets sent to me. I really don't care to hear about some medication that I don't use, or some recall of some food I don't eat at 5 in the morning calling in on my phone and using my minutes. I'm sure there is some kind of kickback going to this politician...
