Replying to:  Unlimited Data for Smartphones... Makes Complete Sense by MadFatMan   Sep 27, 2011, 9:18 AM

Totally agree! Verizon Prepaid still has unlimited data for smartphones for $30.

100% in agreement with you! What sense does it make to have more & more advanced smartphones then kill unlimited data. Sprint has poor coverage where I live or I would be with them in a heartbeat. For now, using Verizon's prepaid unlimited data plan and enjoying it (they still offer unlimited data for smartphones on prepaid for $30 added to voice, voice/text plan). If & when they ever all decide to assimilate to 2GB as the standard, I simply won't use them for data at all and just go with a cheap MVNO for calling/text only but for now, glad Sprint, Boost (Virgin has cap starting in OCT) & Verizon prepaid actually get it. My wife has Straight Talk using Nokia E5/AT&T Network. Data speeds are good (3.5MB speed) and supposedly data is unlimited though a visit to howardforums states there is an "unofficial cap" of either 2GB or 5GB.
