T9 instead of iTAP...bad move
It also doesnt predictive my own dictionary automatically, I have to enter the first letter and next through the choices. If I just try to type it out it wont find it. Say Im typing "Fusic". I hit F then next a bunch of times. I cant do F-U-S-...
So anyway, I prefer T9. Twas a better choice.

I hate predictive type - I can type faster and easier by entering each letter individually.
Once you learn T9 or iTAP, you'll be able to type much faster then scrolling through the letters to type. As an example if you want to type "hello", without T9 or iTAP, you would have to hit the 4 key twice to get the h, the 3 key twice to get the e, the 5 key three times to get the first l, the 5 key three times to get the second l, and the 6 key three times to get the o. That's a total of 13 key strokes. With T9 or iTAP, you only have to hit each key once and it will guess the word so it will only be 5 key strokes. I think it will be much faster to hit 4-3-5-5-6 to type hello than 4-4-3-3-5-5-...

T9 > iTAP

There is no way T9 is better than iTAP. iTAP automatically learns words and phrases you type. Also with the Motorola user interface, you get to see the word choices on the bottom of the screen as you're typing and you can scroll to the choice you want as you're typing and then continue typing. Lastly, if a particular key combination matches 2 words like 63 returns both "me" and "of", if you use "of" more frequently than "me", iTAP will remember that and list it as the first choice. I don't remember T9 doing all of that.
