Windows Phone 7 was on phones with 1Ghz processors and big a$$ 4.3" screens and it was still a hard sell. The Pre was released at a time when it was on par to the Android devices out at the time. What was it, G1 and the myTouch 3G??? Of course webOS was far superior to Android but guess what? The public made their decision. They don't want webOS. They want iOS and Android. Case closed.

IPad has the majority of the market. From a business perspective it was a wise move to realize it and cut your losses. This is going to happen to other competitors too. The Playbook comes to my mind as maybe being next.

WebOS may have been cool but if the public aint buying it...
