I'd love to know which (Republican) House members are writing the President in support of the merger. Since AT&T donates A LOT of money to conservative politicians to help rally support for their own interests...it's not hard to fathom that there just might be a link between who received donations, and who is in support of the merger. Sounds like AT&T has finally requested to make a withdrawal on their earlier "political deposits". Ridiculous.

Oh...& domestic job creation???? Give me a small break, PLEASE!!!! That's one of the best punchlines for a truly stupid & unfunny joke I've ever heard! 👿

Interesting... I dont know where you got your information, BUT, the 15 house members who wrote the letter were in fact of the democratic party, and the group is led by Heath Shuler, a NC democrat. Next time, check your resources. Thanks 🙂

Well, if you reread my comment...you'll notice that I made no STRONG accusation or claim, but speculated on information that is readily available to the public. It's no secret that VZW and AT&T donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to conservative politicians.

Interesting that the House members were all Dem's...perhaps they're receiving donations now too. Curious & scary.

Looks pretty specific to me.

"I'd love to know..."
"...there just might be..."
"Sounds like..."
= Speculation

"...(Republican)..."
= loose accusation

"...AT&T donates A LOT of money to conservative politicians..."
= Fact

Strong speculation that ended up being incorrect, thanks to your added info. But, not strong accusation or claim. Make sense?

so, in essence, you're talking without saying anything....

for someone pretty riled up about "the man" you're doing a bang up job of emulating the speech pattern.

Umm...no. I simply "speculated" with info I already had on an article that didn't detail the info I was curious about. Incidentally, my speculation was incorrect, and I admitted to that. Why you hatin'? 😎

Easy Tiger. Perhaps try and read within the context of the post? Facts are straight as I presented them. Wouldn't be at all surprising that AT&T would spend $$$ on both sides of the aisle. But, there's more info & media surrounding AT&T donations given to conservatives, than Dems.

Dems taking donations now? Are you joking? Both major parties in the US accept billions from corporations.

LOL...of course they do! My point was to AT&T donating to Dems's "now" (as in not just to conservatives). I was NOT suggesting that Dem's have finally caved to accepting corporate donations! Anyone who's got their finger on the political pulse in this country knows that! However, there's more info & media surrounding AT&T donations given to conservatives, than Dems.
