Review: Samsung Epic 4G Touch
just bought the galaxy2 from sprint
i have had sprint forever and i enjoyed the lower price i get. now sprint has cracked down on the discounts, it no longer is cheaper.
so i decided to either keep the plan and upgrade or just cancel my cell phone service and call it a day.
...so i now own a new samsung galaxy s2 epic 4G cell phone. since this is my first android experience i thought i would just get the best available from sprint. i personally hate large phones. it reminds of the old brick phones back in the 80's and 90's.
its not too heavy cause its replacing the LG rumor touch. the Rumor is heavy for its size so it kinda made this new phone feel light for its size. the shape is thin but long and wide. i dont think its going to be easy to carry around. adding protection to it like a case will only make it larger.
since i have no experience with other andriods, i think it seems pretty fast. it doesnt lag when i use it. switching between different pages and modes, it works without hesitation.
as for battery life, it doesnt seem to last very long. with a nice amount of use i get about half a day so far. but again , i have only owned this for 2 days now. it might be because im playing with it more than i should be. i have set the screen illumination to the lowest setting tonight so i can see if i get a days worth out of it tomorrow.
call quality should be the most important being thats why we have this thing call a mobile phone and not a mobile computer gaming system, but the quality is kinda fragmented. i am actually very close to cell sites and i do get full bars all the time in my area. the sound just isnt as crisps as i listen to callers on the other end. i am not sure if i sound any better on their end tho.
well this is my bed time and ill end it for now.
i still think its a fun gadget not so much a phone anymore.
