Sprint Shortens Return Policy from 30 Days to 14 Days

Sprint is updating the return policy for new lines of service, accessories and upgrades. With the Sprint Satisfaction Guarantee, customers can try their new product for 14 days. If they aren’t 100% satisfied with their product they can bring it back within 14 days of activation and Sprint will:

• Refund the device purchase price (as long as device is complete and undamaged)
• Refund the activation/upgrade fee (if service is cancelled within 3 days of activation)
• Waive the Early Termination Fee (ETF) (as long as the device is returned)
• A Restocking Fee will apply for device exchanges, except for upgrades going to previously owned and activated devices.

This violates the law in California when it comes to returns. It's a business law here in California that customers have 30 days to return an item they dislike. Will this apply in California?

State law always applies to returns, etc. The question becomes is, "what would you have gentlemen". Is network, devices, unlimited data, more important than an annual new update "if you were base enougth to desire it". Fact is Premier was just a marketing program like any other. Some people seem to think all this stuff is supposed to go on forever until THEY decide to give it up.

As a Sprint employee I can inform you that no,
It will not effect neither California, or Hawaii.
State Law > Sprint.

Also I can say I don't condone these changes 😢

I'm glad someone at Sprint has a brain...I had been debating all year if I was going to stay with Sprint or go to Verizon for better coverage. About when Verizon went to tiered data I decided I would stay with Sprint since I have been with them 10+ years (Gold Premier - new phone every 12), Unlimited Data, and the Google Voice integration even though I thought I was taking a big chance on the Network.

Now...
I get a new phone just as fast on Verizon.
For about $5 more than the same options on Sprint I don't get unlimited data but with my discount options I can get 5GB (likely more than I will ever use).
And, I guess I will just have to live without the Google Voice integration...hate that one but while it is nice it doesn't by itself ...

Verizon Wireless found some loophole and was able to establish a 14 day return policy in California. Verizon and Best Buy both confirmed this.

No argument there but Sprint will more than likely follow in California and have the same 14 day return policy.
