remember "the most dropped calls" belongs to att?
or how the iphone bog down the att network?
in the long run, as more and more people use cellphone, att network will only get worse if there is no merger!
with merger, you will able to access BOTH att and tmobile towers!
sure, att might raise their price, but you get what you paid for!
if you dont want to pay more, just get Sprint! Sprint gives you unlimited talk, texts and web for 35$ a month!

do you know how many car manufacturers out there?
and Mercedes still able to sell their cars so much more than others?
you get what you paid for!

One thing is...about the same time that AT&T's overall bog-down happened is when T-Mobile stopped using AT&T partner cov. and visa versa. As a whole they did great. Individually, both companies suffered. My brother has T-Mobile and has a city map of where he lives and has streets and zones marked down where he cant get coverage anymore (He's a courier so needs to know areas.) and has had a huge problem with cov. since the two companies seperated their partner coverage.

Either way I see it...T-Mobile is going down. AT&T gets the best benefit from it. The transition for *any* other carrier will be just as bad if not worse, at least AT&T wont have huge, significant changes.

Oh my... you post the same argument that I rebutted earlier? Here... reread it again:

Please, stop using this car manufacturer argument, you just sound foolish.

ALOT!
then why isnt Mercedes selling under cars under 20,000$ ?
of course you pay more if you want better coverage (att + tmobile towers).
but if you dont want to pay more, get virgin mobile! 35$ for unlimited calls, texts, and web !

You're asking the wrong question. What you should be asking is this:

If there were only 2-3 car manufacturers to choose fro

---" "the most dropped calls" belongs to att? or how the iphone bog down the att network?"---

Two things:

Because of GSM's designed technology, it has more dropped calls over CDMA. It has very little to do with AT&T and Tmobile operating seperately. A unification of the two, will not change the propagation of how GSM operates or the coverage issues. AT&T would like you to believe it, but in reality, you will lose if you fall prey to this manipulation. If you are in a zone that coverage is better with Tmobile, then that is certainly the fault of AT&T. They most likely have the chance to cover you with spectrum they already have but chose not to.

So this leads to your second opinion.

If "You get what you pay for" and are tired o...

Slammer QUOTE: "You get what you pay for" and are tired of dropped calls and want better coverage, why are you not with a CDMA carrier such as Verizon? If you can not answer this question logically, then quit bringing the Mercedes in as an example. It is hypocritical. Your choice of vehicle opposes your choice of carrier."

why? because i dont like CDMA, i want an even better GSM carrier! 1 plus 1 not equal 2? with merger, i will able to access BOTH att and tmobile towers! so that' better coverage, better carrier! i can buy the latest and hottest unlocked GSM phones in uk, and use it on ATT!

So you are admitting that you are paying more for your carrier but it is not giving you what you pay for? You need better cell service? Interesting. Unlike myself that pays less, yet I seem to utilize everything I pay for; plus more.

Your logic has just become more complex.

I think the point he' to make is, he enjoys being able to use SIM cards and the idea of being able to buy an unlocked phone and just switch the SIM card. Yes, ATT has coverage issues in some areas but, it isn't as bad as some people make it sound. ATT has come a long way from what they were. As for using spectrum they already have, I believe they have and are using what's there. From my experience, I've noticed a big difference I. Signal strength and availability. Now, I could have my info wrong but, not all spectrum is created equal and not all can be used with current technology. As I said, I could be wrong. You can call me a fan boy, if you like but, im just speaking from what I have experienced for myself.

Troll much?? He never said hes not getting what he paid for.... He said better cell-phone service would be good. While you may not travel much every carrier has weak spots if those can be improved that is very nice as well. Stop trying to justify haveing an inferior carrier.

From the above transcript, Netboy does in fact, say he is not getting what he pays for. I made that presumption by how he listed very crucial faults that I do not experience in frequency with my carrier and I pay less. You should have too. So what is inferior about that?

Netboy is paying top dollar for these for a carrier that has issues in the most important aspect of cell service and is willin...

ok I see what your saying. If you read it he is merely referencing quotes of other people that complain about AT&T ( he obviously thinks very highly of ATT) and hes saying "you get what you pay for" not as in hes not getting what he wants or paid for, merely rationalizing the higher cost of AT&T.

I don't agree that he is reciting other's complaints. I believe he is mimicking out of experience. But, I agree he is fond of AT&T and I am fond of mine as you may be fond of yours. However, I cannot condone the lack of eloquence when dealing with a person's choice for a smaller carrier. It simply works for many.

But that is not my annoyance.

The premise of this topic is for a merge that will greatly affect the entire population of the wireless industry. Not just his. My intent is to try and convey that individuals like Netboy who have legitimate complaints, should be pushing their carriers to do more with less. This helps keep costs down while creating innovation and enhance a more competitive market and makes a "better carrier". I ...

...the difference between a Sprint owned MVNO and Sprint you should consider no longer posting on this website in an attempt to argue anything.

Also, the car analogy doesn't work either. Maybe just stick with the phrase, "you get what you pay for"?

Now don't get me wrong, I am actually pro-merger, but I am simply asking you to stop talking because you are making us look bad...

"Sprint gives you unlimited talk, texts and web for 35$ a month!"

no they don't. Hell, their employees don't even get this type of plan.
If you are saying Boost offers this, it's still not Sprint. Boost is Pre-Paid. Not Post-Paid. If you are an agent that spills this info out saying Sprint offers this, I hope you get punched in the throat for your stupidity. Just because Sprint owns Boost doesn't mean that they will be offering the same plans, as they clearly don't.

Absolutely correct.
Still, MVNO's are a great alternative to the big 4 right now with all their childish bickering.

A. I think he was referring to how Boost mobile plans can drop down to $35 a month.

B. Employees DEFINITELY get this kind of plan, better even...free ;) While you're talking about spouting misinformation as fact.
