Create New AT&T Jobs?!?!

Heck no they wouldn't be creating more jobs! As it is their call centers are in India and Canada! AT&T is a horrible multi joint venture that for YEARS has screwed people! Employees & Customers! Hey FCC, wake up! Don't you remember back in the 80's when you split up AT&T?!?! After 5 years working form them and 10 years having their cell service I left, because of their Anti-American business practices! No offense Ralph Dela Vega, this isn't Cuba. American business, American JOBS!

It is actually going to cause a loss of jobs, people in the Tmo call center where I live were told about severance packages and "retirement" when the merger goes thru. So TMo employees (the ones here anyway) are dreading the merger and dont want it to go thru.

with all due respect, predicting what a company the size of AT&T will or will not do is this side short of impossible ..

in the current economy and with the focus firmly on creating American jobs in America, if AT&T were to not follow through (at least partially) on their pledge, the backlash against the company would be enormous ..

that's not to say that most people don't have the attention spans / memories of fruit flies but i would think "Joe Public" (to quote the funniest politician of all time) will hold AT&T to their word ..
