at&t is not losing customers
I know that people think at&t is centered 100% around the iPhone and that without the iPhone the company would crash and burn.
That's not even close to true. at&t became the nation's largest carrier in 3rd quarter 2004, nearly 3 years BEFORE the iPhone.
And at&t has been preparing for the iPhone for the last 2 years by switching to Android. Today, 3 of the 5 best selling at&t phones are Android phones. The combined sales of Android exceed the sales of the iPhone.
In addition, the Verizon iPhone has been....not quite a failure but nevertheless a disappointment, it hasn't sold a fraction of what they thought it would...
In the first quarter of 2011, Apple sold 8 million iPhones.....6 million to at&t and only 2 million to Verizon.
So what that means is that 3/4 of iPhone customers are choosing at&t over Verizon.
And there has been no post Verizon iPhone churn, in fact, at&t has ADDED customers.
There is literally absolutely no reason to be worried, at&t is doing fine without iPhone exclusivity.
