Yes, there are high end Android phones, and they cram tons of stuff into them, so much that the battery and processor can't handle it, and the battery life is crap, requiring charging daily, or even multiple times per day.

This specs war is going to kill the smartphone business because it is resulting in phones that can barely be used as phones.

And this problem exists across all manufacturers, from the HTC Thunderbolt to the Droid Incredible.

I for one wonder how long Android will continue to be around if they continue shoveling out these behemoth phones that are barely even functional.

No one has ever complained that a Blackberry can't keep a charge, in fact, Blackberries are LEGENDARY for their battery life, going 2-3 days between charges, even with heavy usage.

And by the way, the lack of 3G on a Playbook, is not a bug, it's a feature. It's a selling point.

WHO exactly wants to sign yet another cotnrart, pay yet another monhly data fee? You've got your home Internet, your smartphone and now your tablet....how many monthly data charges do we want to pay?

So your tether your Blackberry to the Playbook and get the use of 3G data on the Playbook WITHOUT having to sign yet another contract and pay yet another monthly fee.

That's the same reason that the WiFi iPad outsells the 3G iPad.
