I find it odd that they waited this long, but I'm confident that AT&T will find a way to make it happen.I love how people are all whining about price increases if the merger goes through... People, if it happens, you'll have the option to walk away and go to a crappy low-cost carrier of your choice w/o fee. No one will force you to have at&t. And, as for Sprint ,stop whining about trying to compete if this goes through,b/c most customers who would opt not to come to att, will go there and since they are possibly getting the iphone, theres NO WAY they couldn't remain competitive

AT&T and Verizon both have the iPhone now and Sprint will be getting when the iPhone 5 releases in October. 🙄...

He doesn't seem to understand that the concern isn't about price hikes as much as the lack of national competition.

AT&T is slowly rebuilding their Monopoly of a company that was broken up back in the 80's. It was a bad thing back then and it'll be just as bad if this merger is allowed.
