Verizon Wireless to Skip Samsung's Galaxy S II
Not surprising...
They're always late to the table with high-end technology. I've been holding off on my two year upgrade since 2-28-2011 because every release from VZW has been laughable. The Bionic is no different. It's a pretty lackluster device now.
The HTC Vigor is the only offering to truly look forward to. If it doesn't drop ~October 5th as expected, or at least by the last week of Oct., I'm porting my number over to a different carrier.
My Inc. 1 has gotten a bit long in the tooth.
Even though the spec sheet doesn't look too impressive, I will take a look at the Bionic. Not sure if it's a better choice than the Droid 3. LTE isn't a deal breaker for me. What about you guys/gals?
And what are everyone's thoughts on the HTC Vigor?

To put it another way, Verizon coming out top is purely by accident. Do the same test again you'll come up with a different ranking.
Statistically speaking, all 4 carriers are indistinguishable in the number of dropped calls in the majority of the country.

That's because Verizon owns, operates and maintains all of its towers. Sprint on the other hand leases its towers from other providers/companies. Meaning, network upgrades occur whenever the other companies feel like it, and network repairs have to be coordinated through third parties and are slow to be resolved.
Ah, the tired, old "tower" argument, put forth by people who think that they know what they are talking about but do not.
First, a "tower" is just an elevated structure. That term is not an acceptable synonym for a "cell site" because a tower may be used for something other than a cell site. Similarly, a cell site may be located on something other than a tower.
