It's not confirmed but Steve Jobs has already gone on record as saying that Apple will not (yet) be adopting 4G at such an early stage of it's life.

In other words, there's nobody to blame for this potential shortcoming except Apple.

He didn't make it clear who he was blaming- Apple, Verizon, NASA, FBI, CTU, etc.

For all we know Jack Bauer's in on it.

If Jack Bauer was on it, it would have been done 24 hours ago and we would have been none the wiser 🙂

Assuming the lack of LTE is true, which is almost guaranteed, I'll be hanging on to my iPhone 4 until the iPhone 6 comes out, which will almost certainly be LTE. But who knows, maybe between now and then I will decide to go back to Android if it can finally appeal to me again

How is it using an outdated phone? 🙄

Might be "outdated" in terms of age but it still runs better than at LEAST 80% of the newer phones out there

how so? Device dependability is simply an experience. All devices have lemons I see it all the time which sometimes right out of box, and apple is no exclusion. If I sell an I-Phone I dont feel confident that thewre will be minimal issues, not any more then I do other phones to say the least.

Maybe, but an out dated iPhone isn't much different than it's predecessor or successor. iPhones haven't changed that much from gen to gen. Maybe from the first iPhone to iPhone 4, but not much from 1 to 2 or 3 to 4. I'm not a fan of Apple ot iPhone, but if I had a 4, I, too, would wait for 6.

Isn't that the truth!! I had the first iPhone for about 3 days and took it back. Yeah there were other options but wth? I wanted a phone with the expected phone features, not a hand held tablet with crappy phone add-ons.

Would get a LTE Iphone?
Sprint doesn't even support LTE so this isn't apple's fault. So Unless I'm missing something here, I don't get it 😕

The Original poster is referring to the fact that Apple has possibly not chosen to add LTE too early (all unconfirmed of course) and that the required 300 pounds worth of extra batteries needed to last the day away from their chargers that early adopters of 4G technology have had to face as reality at the moment isn't exactly what apple wants. 🤣

Apple places a higher priority on battery life and power management than LTE at the moment.

So one persons fail is anothers win 😎
Depends on how you look at it

Honestly speaking i don't care about LTE/4G
it doesn't kill me when I'm watching youtube that I have to pause the video for about 10-20 seconds before i PLAY to allow some time so that I don't start buffering during the video. Plus most of the time I'm on wi-fi in which I never have to pause before play. And you are correct battery life is a way bigger priority over 4G for me as well.

Says the apple fanbois. When it lacks technology "I like my apple on the back better then LTE" theres phones out that are just as long of a talk time AND 4g. How come Apple cant do this? They Also make phones with the screen 1.5x bigger and still manage to do this??? I say apple wanting to leave that out because "other stuff is more important" is just an exscuse to not spend much money to release ANOTHER I-Phone wit minimal diffreneces. (not known but can only be expected)HISTORY

It's not just Apple that thinks this way. RIM does also. If putting in the latest tech first means big compromises in other areas that Apple or RIM are known for, there is a cost.

In this case we are probab...
