Yeah I was thinking about getting one as well. I just figured what the hell only $100, cant go wrong. I get on the internet and type documents, notes, calendar, and all of the basics. The only thing that it lacked was the apps, and I'm sure I will find some apps I like and I really think that some developers would look at these ppl that are rushing to get the $100 tablet some apps to use and develop some low end apps for them that could be very useful and fun.

Give us a review for the price if you don't mind.

HP touch pad review: day 1

I have been playing on it all day while at work.
i must say its the best $99 tablet out now.
Like i said before I have not had much exp. with webOS

I love the "flick" to stop apps web page.
the feel of the pad is awsome nice and sleek.
I have been using my HTC thubderbolt as a hot spot, It keeps a connection well
Web surfing, picturs and music are done well, the speakers are suprisingly loud.

the app selection is not great..but they hav Tunein radio LOVE THAT APP!!!!

for $99 get one now!!! 😁

**why are we not funding this**

I'm confused:

What does the price tag have to do with performance?

It's the exact same HP Touchpad that has been out for months.

Driving a Honda for $11,000 one would say its a great car and well worth the price and maybe even a steal for that price.

Price a Honda like a mercedes and one would rate the car low because its not performing with other cars that are the same price that has so many more features.

So with the new price in mind I wanted to know what would ppl say about the device. Should I go pick one up for $99 or would ppl tell me to still remain far away from it because its not worth it?

That would make sense, except that when the Touchpad came out originally, it was in the 400-600 dollar range.

That is why I do not understand your analogy because HP did not degrade the quality of their tablets as soon as the price dropped nor did they change any of the components inside when the price dropped.

They just decided not to make anymore tablets or phones.
