Not sure why this bugs me but it does....

All of the carriers talk about what percentage of the population they cover. I would just once like for one of them to say what percentage of the US is covered, not population.

Would anybody really give a damn if all of Death Valley was covered in 4g? Is it financially sound to cover all of Wyoming instead of covering part of NY (the part containing NYC)?


There is a large part of America that is sparsely populated. Those are obviously the last to get up to date cell coverage. I wouldn't be surprised if Verizon didn't take a list of the 50 most populated cities/areas of the US and decided to start with that, then work their way out. More POPS mean more money.
