you bore me.

Every phone you have released lately has that wonderful RAZR (shoon to bwe shortened to RR, when they release the KRZYRAZR V3XivM^3) look and feel to it.

This, I am not a fan of.

what if every car produced by Chevy looked entirely the same... not very fun is it?

in a business where people shoot for looks, it's either innovate or die.

Motorola is not innovative....they'll use the same design over and over and now they're copying LG with the touch sensitive controls and Samsung withe the sliders.

Give it up Motorola! there are only sooo many idiots in the world. The rest of us wont get fooled.

lol wow did you think this all up by yourself. MOTO rocks, just admit it Nokia Schmokia. Admit that your phone has no comparison to what Moto puts out... the razr is a great phone, thats why they are makeing newer ones. And think about this, if chevy or whatever car you have, never came out with a better version, and you like the car but wanted a newer model, would that not piss you off that they did not come out with one. See nokia has piss poor phones so they dont come out with newer models becuase no one wants the newer model if they ever got that far, which they wont.

Nokia comes out with new models all the time... have you even checked out GSMarena.com? compare how many Motorola phones there are to Nokia phones. But im sure youre just one of those idiots who think the only way to get a phone is through the carriers.

And i think its funny how Samsung copies Motorola phone designs, but have better quality and features than that of Motorola.

Nokia is one of the lowest grade phones on the market. Motrola is far serpast nokia. Of course your intitled to your opinion like everyone else, but you can also be reasonable at the same time. Think of it this way. You come out with a product, and sell millions of them. what r u goin to do stop making them cause it gets old after a while. Hell no you come out with a better version of the product cause you already know that theres a buyers market. Nokia might have more phones than motorola only because none of them are good enough or create enough profit to come out with a better version. Its all about the consumer ladies and gents. Thanks for your time

are you kidding me? Nokia is NOT one of the lowest grade phones....where are you getting your information? Just cuz you own a RAZR does not mean other brands are lower. Dont justify your purchase with your imagination.

Just my opinion that im entitled to.

by the way its "surpass" and not "serpast"

Speaking of Chevy... ever hear of a car called the Corvette? Been around quite a few DECADES. Design changes are made over the DECADES but it is still a Corvette! Same basic form & factor (gee, where have I heard those terms before) but upgraded each year or two so... your car analogy is WAY OFF kid. Grow up and let the adults play here... the one's that can afford the finer things in life and not foreign knockoff toys... 😲

lol see all you guys can get at is NOT the point that I am trying to get at. READ Atavist response and you will understand what the hell I am saying, rather than being a little baby about it and crying to your mom for advice, because that is what you are doing. So listen heres the deal, I tell you what I know and think and you say in return, Yes Captain, because you know I am right and you know what point I am trying to get at but yet you nokia people still have no idea what consumers want... if your going to anywhere in business you have to learn what the consumer wants and not the maker... (thats how the Holocaust happened if ya think about it) and what happened, people were killed or now a days dissapointed. Dont talk unless you know!

Dewd... it's a cell phone for Pete's sake! Not like it's life or death, get a life!

Design WAS what was being discussed and I used a solid example (name the car company, I'll give you a model to go along with the same analogy).

If you are so design/market wise, why are you not working for a cell phone manufacture? Leading a design/marketing team? Reporting to stockholders? See the thread here? Let me know when you get your MBA and then we can really start to talk about the nuts & bolts of what it takes to compete in a business with shrinking profit margins. I for one (as a Moto stock holder) am glad to see them lead the industry again. Like the first Star-Tac, Moto is an innovator. They took their lumps when they sat back and became f...

well put.

and i agree with the corvette analogy only in part.

corvette is not an entire brand, it is a model.

I could understand if there was 30 different versions of the RAZR released, but these are all supposedly different models.

and i think the design has gotten stale. it was cool to have a clamshell where one half fit in another for a while, but now it's old hat, and most developers have proven that they can follow the same design cues.

I'd like to see what they can do with the latest trend of "thin" and combine it with the new rising champion of cell phone design; the spinner.

right not innovating at all -- except that they:

1. had the first phones with vibrate call profiles (i believe LG and Samsung both took that from them)
2. Are working with sprint to provide a 4G network in 2007
3. have created one of the most popular/ best selling phones in cellular history (RAZR - 50 million+ sold)

And the "copying" :
1. if the razr is soo terrible why did Samsung and LG release very similar?
The slim Samsung A900
http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/samsung/mm-a900.html »
and LG's CU500
http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/lg/cu500.html »
As well as the Samsung SGH-T509 (comparatible to the SLVR)
http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/samsung/sgh-t509.html »

2. Moto's Razr slider was released in Asia way before samsung release...

Very interesting subject. While I understand the comment that everything has the same wonderful RAZR look and feel to it, I think they are very far from everything looking entirely the same. I agree that it would not be very fun if every car produced by Chevy looked entirely the same (I personally do not care for the design of their cars), it would also be suicide for them if they did. They have yet (in recent times) to produce a design that anyone would want to copy and turn into an entire product line. The idea of Design Language is a very important one, where a company can build their brand with consumers, by hitting on a look and feel that consumers find appealing and also find value in. The idea of Design Language is very familiar ...

Thats true... probably why I'll never buy a Chevy. =)

I agree its a little boring for all the designs to be so similar, but its a decent design, sales have seemed to prove that.

I love the look of the Razr and plan on buying the V3xx when it comes out!

Hope it is in black, blue and lime; not the ugly gunmetal Grey that is so ugly! Even my gunsmith hate the color and he works on guns for a living and love the color of blue-steel but this is a shade he does not come across much; because it is bare almost in treatment and usually is used on the cheapest of weapons that are made in the third world before the massive weapons stockpile.

It looks like I be shopping for my v3xx in England since the U.S. versions seem to be delay till maybe 2007!
