This phone is garbage!!!

NokiaNokia

Jul 25, 2006, 12:40 AM
All Motorola phones are garbage. They should come with garbage can, so you can throw the phone away once you get it. Cause thats where its gonna end up anyways. Theyre phones break too easily. I mean seriously, does Motorola have any other designs? They keep coming out with the same type of design....and their phones dont even have an operating system.

Raul, have you ever owned a Nokia phone? each and everyone of them have a unique look and style, unlike RZRS.

You know who has RZRS? minivan moms, over the hill dads, "i want to be cool" uncles, senile grandparents, and people who are clueless when it comes to cellphone technology.

Good thing for Motorola that the world is full of those people. Hooray for the feebleminded!

Exactly. I mean I am so over the hill because I have a RAZR. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact that I want a small, sleek phone that I could put in my pants pocket without it making me look like I'm walking around with a hard on. I geuss I'm just trying to be a cool.

You, sir, are a tool.

I'll agree with you in regards to the "me too morons", but up until a few years ago, every Nokia looked virtually alike. Motorola may have some quality issues, but on the design side of things, they have no peer.

Yeah. The word is BECAUSE. See the spelling? Okay. And I'm referring to the physical design sense. Over the past few years Moto's had NO peers. And I don't even LIKE Moto.

Also, I say "less filling".

And I've never heard of "Milwaukee's Beast". Is it good?

I gotta differ. While all cell phone manufacturers have their flaws. i refuse to believe that you are going to place Nokia in the same category as Motorola. I agree that I have had some problems with Moto phones breaking easily (pre-Razr) and the Razr's software is ass. But as far as design, noone can touch Motorola right now. Especially Nokia. There phone are like bricks. They have some good ideas. but there designs suck. name one clever phone from them guys. the only one i can think of is the stainless steel one T-mobile offers for $569.99. Which is ridiculously expensive. Saying that Nokia is the Cristal of cell phones isn't saying much either, because Cristal is wack as hell. You musta never tasted it homey. Motorola on the ...

So where does Paris Hilton fit into the minivan moms, over the hill dads, etc? I'm not saying that everyone needs to go out and buy a RAZR because she used one at one time (gifted a D&B LE one also if I remember correctly), but the phones aren't garbage.

I've used about every manufacture of phone out there and while Motorola does have its downsides (all phones do), they are fairly robust and getting better.

And as others have stated before on this site I believe, I too like how well the phone fits in a shirt or pant pocket. Plus, I don't feel like some redneck carrying around a can of chewing tobacco in my pocket as with some other bulkier phones.

I had a customer come in the other day - they said they just wanted a nice quality phone because they already had a laptop loaded with the features one might look for in a PDA-phone. The guy "didn't want a Motorola" - so I put him in the brand new Nokia 6103 which packs some solid features. He took it outside, close to a busy street, and made some calls. When he came back, he said he wanted something that had better call quality and felt more firm. In so many words, I told him to shut up, get over not wanting a Motorola, and try the RAZR. When he went outside and placed more calls (one of which was to his daughter who was in the store), he was surprised. She said he would never admit it, but the whole call he made to her was filled with "wow...

I have to say that 'phones with types of style, instead of using the same design over and over and over...' does not necessarily mean you get great design, there are a lot of different style RCA electronics out there, but that does mean any of it is good design.
...
NokiaNokia

regular electronics and phone designs are different cuz you dont carry around your tv or stereo system.
...
S4BB

Jul 29, 2006, 7:41 AM
I really wasn't talking about carrying a TV around (RCA has numerous personal MP3 players that are not memorable), simply that having numerous designs in your product line does not insure that you will have great design. My guess is they are trying to design for different consumers and also looking to hit with something that has been as universally desired as the RAZR.
...
NokiaNokia

Jul 30, 2006, 12:02 AM
S4BB, I respect your opinion. But, as we all know, design is really relative to the consumer. And having a great design does not mean you have a high quality phone (in fact thats what Motorola is hoping people wont realize). I do understand alot of people desire the RAZR because of its design, but those are the same people who end up hating the phone becuase of how easy it is to break.

Peace!

Considering the limit of onboard and expandable memory on phones nowadays an FM radio is extremely useful if you use your phone for music. Think about it: lots and lots of music that doesn't require playlists or skipping through tracks, or worst of all having to plug it up to your PC to transfer files (and waiting several minutes).
Not to mention news and weather.
Used the radio on my w600 about as much as the music player.
Duhhhhh.... ๐Ÿคค

Yes I do recognize that but what you yet to see is that Nokia's flaws out-weigh motorola's by a landslide!!! I am seriously asking, why the hell would you put an FM radio in a god forsaken cell phone? What is the point? Its stuff like that, that makes me want to blow up all Nokia phones.

NokiaNokia

Jul 29, 2006, 6:00 PM
it just shows how narrow minded you are. Just cuz you dont use the FM radio doesnt mean other people dont use it. I know lots of people who use the radio on their Nokia phone. You know why Motorola doesnt have an FM radio on thier phones? cuz Motorola doesnt have the technology to do it. Its not the easiest thing to put an FM radio into a phone. (which shows you why Nokia is the leader in cellular technology) Motoboy, face the facts....Motorola is weak compared to Nokia....quit making the same phone over and over and go back to making pagers. Ok, first of all how old are you? Secondly, an FM radio on their phone is only for those wannabe guys that think they know everything about sports and so they use it to show off. Other than that gay ass radio thing you call a phone, third Motorola has and always will be a higher standard because of this:
1)Has more eye appealing phones.
2)Has more eye appealing phones.
3)Does not need an FM radio to be cool. (wheres AM????)
4)The whole phone is not made out of plastic... cough nokia cough!!!
5)Pretty sure motorola has more razrs put out than any other individual nokia phone!
6)Motorola does not have people like you who dont know what they are talking about.
7)And ask anyone, if they were to choose between a moto and a nokia... hmmm ha...

Well if you must know, I currently own a Treo 700p. However, I've always been a fan of Samsungs even though Sprint faithfully stands by Sanyos. Sanyos are a great brand actually, don't get me wrong, they're very reliable and have great reception; they're just a bit boring in my opinion. I've worked for Verizon and, now, Sprint and in my experience Motorolas and Nokias are equally the most likely to fail, not perform to specifications, or fall apart all together. Both have had the same UI for years and both make ****ty phones that feel like they'll fall apart in your hands. I'll give props to Nokia, however. Lately they've been fairly innovative when it comes to the physical style of the phone.

Thank you dragoness! Nokia phones are getting better designs. But if you switch to a GSM carrier and use a Nokia GSM phone you will notice there is a big difference between their CDMA counter parts. I also agree with you when it comes to Sanyos....great, reliable phones but they are boring (even the ESPN phone). And im sure you know this too....but the new CDMA Nokia phones are actually not Nokia built, but just Nokia branded. So lets try not to hold them accountable for those hhehe ๐Ÿ™‚

SE is my overall favorite make. Followed by Nokia.
