I dunno bout that...the new Blackberry 7 OS is pretty damn impressive! I have a feeling this may be RIM's new start at attempting to get back to the top spot in the smart phone world, instead of sitting complacently on their butts!

Glad to see them making a move like this! The device is AMAZING, and the new OS is just as impressive! Well done RIM!

Yeah, I wish that they had come out with this a couple of years ago. I might have stayed with BB. I had the Bold 9000 and became increasingly unhappy with it. I wanted to hold out for a better BB but, they only seemed to be putting out the same old BS. The phones became nicer looking, smaller(that was a turn off for me. The 9000 was a nice size.) and plagued with the issue of freezing up on a regular. The Torch was a nice step in the right direction but, it still didn't stand up to what I expected from RIM. Now they finally decide to step there game up. It's about damn time!

But the 1.2GHz processor, higher megapixel camera, more internal memory, optical trackpad, support for 32GB cards, a 3.7 inch screen, and OS7 aren't from 2007 😳

If by chance it would have been available with these specs back in 2007, the iPhone wouldn't have existed now 🤣

They're still running specs dwarfed by Droid devices and features. Has anyone seen the Utube on the OS7 browser loading? Still gives you a white screen for 7 or 8 seconds and checker boarding. Compare that to the Android Thunderbolt.

Where is the 8mp camera, 4.3" screen, 4G, front facing camera, and dual core processor? Rimjob is still running 6th in an 8 horse race....

Well the thunderbolt just give you a blank screen because its too busy power cycling constantly or dropping data signal. I would say RIM wins.

RIM isn't winning very much at Verizon. Checked in with a large store to be told of the 20 different handsets they have on display, on two by BB. Seems the push is in another direction. Android my be "power cycling" as you say, but the 100s of thousands of defectors to Droid and Iphone seems to make a different statement.

With so many great devices coming out by HTC, LG, and Samsung, it really might be in RIM's best interest to develop a marketing division with some insight....

Android has the old windows philosophy, which is to flood the market with your products. So its not that they are that good but its just every where you turn. Now I'm by far not saying that android is a bad OS, but lets not act like people are dying and lining up outside stores to get them either.

They have mastered marketing with the flooding of the market with their product, to the point when the average user thinks of the word smartphone they think of a phone with android.

If WebOS gets licensed and at a cheap price for the manufactures it could be dangerous for Android. The niche that android has is that is free for hardware manufactures and it sells because Google and the carriers do the marketing. That's why android sells.

With this said and all these company's coming out with new phones, when is Nokia going to come out with something. At this point it could be anything but I have so many customers wanting Nokia phones and i can't offer them anything. Maybe they came out with one and i missed it but we cannot order any Nokia phones. 🤨

2012

RIM and Apple will probably always be behind compared to Android phones. There is one of those coming out every 20 seconds they say 🤣
