Would have been the perfect phone for me...

...if only Motorola would have had the foresight to include CDMA800 ESMR support in it! Oh well... 😢

By the time that's implemented, this phone will be obsolete and you'd be due for an upgrade anyway.

From what I read Network Vision was supposed to start going live in 2011. I personally wouldn't get a phone without ESMR bands myself... 800hz has too good of building penetration & range to ignore. It's the reason why VZW has such great service.

If he's only keeping his phone for a few months that would be true. They're getting close to switching this over. They have been testing, and so far everything has been a success. The new PTT phones for cdma will start in October, so the iden networks days are numbered.
