I cant believe AT&T would pull such a thing and Verizon will follow. Unlimited I thought was as much as you use not putting a cap on it. Should be a way to sue them for this action. This pisses me off as I made sure I was grandfathered in with unlimited. I have been seeing ads about Verizon and their tiered data plan how great it is well the minimum is $30.00 for 2 GB thats not a deal, my wife only used 166 mb last month on the unlimited plan and that costs $30.00 WTH is going on with these greedy companies?

Is it AT&T's fault she only used 166mb? No. Verizon's plans are a little bit dumb honestly but what can you do?

You could easily change down to the $15 200mb plan if you're with AT&T, save yourself some money on her usage.

As far as your usage, it doesn't "caP" it's a "soft cap" meaning it cuts the speed down. You can still run the internet as much as you want, it just wont be at 4/5mpbs.

Who wants to have speed cut down when I just bought a 4G phone and as far as wifes phone, we both have Verizon and Verizon did away with the $15.00 plan only had for a few months. AT&T and Verizon are just getting to big and greedy but I will not switch to something like Sprint or T-Mobile because they just dont make the grade..

This is EXACTLY the train of thought that allows the big companies to continue their quest for greed. They figure that no matter how much you dislike their pricing, individuals such as yourself, will continue to pay it anyways. Why change under that premise. If you are unwilling to make a statement to the carrier by walking away from them, coming into the forum to complain about them, does you nor anyone good. They then win with no concern or care about how you feel.

You, sir, are an idiot.

No carrier is better than another carrier when it comes to national access. Verizon works in more places but is more expensive, T-Mobile is cheap as dog food but usually only works in urban areas. If i lived out in the sticks i sure as hell wouldn't get T-Mobile.

Also, Verizon's 4g is fast as hell. Seriously, all you have to do is look around the reviews on the internet. It stomps everything else on the market.

Or you can get that 200 Megabytes with T-Mobile on one of those new "value" plans for $5.00.

According to this article way back in February Vzn throttles also. I must not be in the "top 5%". I've had my Samsung Droid Charge for 2.5 months and I always get blazzzing LTE speeds both in the beggining and end of my billing cycle.

AT&T's contract terms prevent you from suing them. You agreed to have any dispute with AT&T arbitrated.

Bingo. And that's what every carrier is counting on.

Another common misconception I encounter all the time working in this business: people think their contract guarantees them a phone. It doesn't. It guarantees service. You don't get to stop paying your bill because you broke your phone.

Not saying thats you, by the way. Just venting.
