And the EXACT FRIGGIN people who complain about cell towers, will also be the EXACT FRIGGIN people complaining about poor service.

High amounts of chromium (a known carcinogen at high concentrations) in water will possibly cause cancer and many other physical and mental disabilities over time, this is something that has been proven, becuase Chromium is a dangerous substance.

Radio frequency interference, including Microwaves emitted from cellular towers (this includes AMPS, TDMA, CDMA, and GSM), is something that has not been proven to be harmful. Sure, individuals who live in very close proximity to the towers may experience physical discomforts that others do not, but to attribute that immediately to this kind of radiation is not the correct thing to do.

No matter where you live, pretty much, frequencies are piercing our bodies. 2.4 GHZ, 2.5 GHZ, 5.8GHZ, ...

I just wanted to add to your point.
Unless they are within 12 feet of the actual antenna, (that’s bit of a climb) the radiation from the cell site will have no affect. And even then, you will feel the effects of radiation sickness.(Headache,Nausea, and even hot flashes) you would pretty much know to get away from it.

Exactly.

It's like all those hippys that think Nuclear reactors are dangerous. Of course they are, if you physically insert yourself into the inside of the reactor. Everything has safeguards. If cell towers really did produce Ionizing or Gamma like radiation, we would know about it.

tell that to the people in Japan...

Those nuclear reactors in Japan failed because the tsunami flooded the cooling water pumps, not because nuclear power is inherently unsafe. All they need is to protect those pumps better against flooding. More people die in coal mine disasters producing fuel for coal power plants than people associated with nuclear power production.

you're saying that RF radiation will cause the same symptoms as nuclear radiation? For the full 2 years I worked in a radio station as a technician and had to climb a tower broadcasting at 1400 MHZ I never experienced any of those things. Way to compare 2 completely different types of radiation.

No what I am saying is that everybody, and all these groups are over reacting to this. Of course RF radiation and Gamma Rays or ionizing radiation is different, but both can also be Harnesed and Used, safely.

RF Radiation in Cell Towers, Nuclear Radiation in a reactor.

Everything is dangerout in extremes, but these groups that want these towers taken down or altered are over reacting huge. This is not something that we should be worry about or spending money on.

Additionally, these "obsolete" towers provide service to areas that have no Digital Towers. AMPS and TDMA legacy service is what these old towers broadcast. In very few areas, mind you, yes, but that is all they have. There are very few phones around that can still co...

I know that's not what you were saying, i was just pointinf out how stupid said statement the pother person made was. You are rational andd I do think it's stupid for these groups to call for all them to shutdown becasue of the valuable service, even an upgrade isn't cost effective. Unless the towers are in an ETC area

First either learn how to spell or proof read!
Second, Everything I have stated is true! Cell sites antennas are only dangerous if you are within 12 feet of the actual antenna! that is a fact!!! I have worked on cell sites for 15 years. So I know the dangers of working on them. My point was they are not a danger to the public. Now granted I was not talking about micro cell you see on buildings around town. And those are also safe!
