RE: "I think you greatly underestimate Sprint and what they have accomplished..."

No, I have always given Sprint the credit they deserve for those things they have done right (for example Sprint is the most innovative with their plans).

Yes, Sprint has improved its customer service in the past year or so. But when you're as deep in the cellar as Sprint is/was, it is EASY to show large gains & noticeable improvement. Have you noticed that even though Verizon has consistently been # 1 in customer satisfaction in the US since Nextel died, Verizon has still managed to reduce their post-paid churn to less than one percent (0.89%, to be exact). So even while Sprint clawed its way out of the cellar, Verizon was raising the bar ever-higher. (no, I am not a Verizon customer, I am a decade-long Nextel customer)

What you have failed to grasp is that although to you Sprint has improved and that is all you care about, I came from the Nextel side and to this day Sprint is not EVEN in the same league as the original Nextel was.

So Sprint may have trained YOU to have meager expectations and to be happy for the relatively small improvements they have made recently. But it's Sprint's misfortune that all of their Nextel customers came from a background of the very highest expectations of customer satisfaction, so absolutely everything that Sprint has ever done since they bought Nextel has been a huge letdown for us Nextel customers. It's a matter of what a given customer was used to, and we original Nextel customers were used to the very best.

Had Nextel taken over Sprint rather than Sprint taking over Nextel, then maybe you would have understood what I'm talking about.
