One-Carrier Phone

Last time I checked, EMSR was not Compatable with other Carriers' CDMA networks, so if that phone supports EMSR 800, 850, and 1900, or whatever it says, would that not technically make that a Sprint-Only phone, since they are the only carrier to support that Radio frequency technology?

Supporting more bands makes a phone compatible with more networks, not less. Since no one else uses CDMA in that band, that simply makes that mode irrelevant to whether it's compatible with other networks. This phone is no more or less compatible with other CDMA networks than any other Sprint phone.

But, like all Sprint phones, it's not easy to use with a different carrier. That's true for nearly all US phones, though. Whether they support different bands, or they're locked, or whatever, most US phones are designed just for one US carrier.

There's nothing to say Samsung won't introduce a very similar phone for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, but they've only really done that with their flagship Galaxy S series so far.

I'm guessing that, just like other manufacturers do with T-Mobile and AT&T, Samsung could just make another version that would be compatible with Verizon's bands...

Seem nice, especially for those who want a higher end but not large phone. And there is a market for that.

It's already compatible with Verizon's bands since it has CDMA 850/1900. It just also happens to have CDMA800 SMR.
