razr copycats
why would anybody else bother copying the RAZR? the RAZR is so common, they should spend more time finding a successor to the razr instead of trying to copy it.
...
yea i know. and its not even a good razr copy. no bluetooth and a vga camera?? it also looks thicker than the verizon razr.
does anyone know who thin the katana is?
...
It is bluetooth, and about the same as the a900
...
We have our katana dummies in stock, and I have the A900 in front of me, they are so close in thickness, it's hard to say if it's one millimeter or two. In the hand the katana feels thicker, but barely.
I agree that it's a pretty close copy to the CRAPR (I mean RAZR) and sanyo seems to be two years behind the technology, they finally have a bluetooth phone!?! When I asked a fairly high on the totem pole rep about why they did not have bluetooth in the near future (mid '05) he said it was "a dying technology, and Sanyo is not going to waste time and money in a technology that won't be around for long..."
Why doesn't sanyo try to be ahead of the times rather than behind them?
...
at least they should upgrade the cameras to at least a megapixel or 3
...
When the razr was developed, it was a good idea that spiraled into a revolution. The "thin phone" design is now as common as say a "bar" phone design, or a "slider" design. Its almost a wireless suicide if you do not offer a "thin phone". thus..
Motorala RAZR
Samsung BLADE
Sanyo KATANA
LG CU500
