Just sad my tmo air card is consistently WAY faster than my vzw "lte"card....

Maybe you are right.... Lte = 4g but until it works more than 25% or becomes stable I will gladly rock my tmo 4g. Half the price double the speed works for me.

Maybe someday that changes, but right now thats how it is.

I agree, in some areas LTE is not so fast and in many others it is non-existant. Yet they have no issues selling you LTE phones and devices in those non-service areas.

Heck, some reps even tell you that you will get a speed boost on 3G with a LTE device. I've never seen that happen in my part of Florida, in fact, in some 3G areas the LTE devices get lower speeds than regular 3G devices.

Verizon techs cannot explain why, which I find rather annoying.

So yeah, a truth in numbers approach would be nice for the consumer. Let them see what they will be getting in their area in numbers they can understand. Don't sell them the promise of faster speeds only to have them find out that in their area, it's not so fast.

Correction...LTE is NOT 4G...

4G = 100Mbps or higher.

Name ONE LTE network that is capable of that.

As much as I hate to admit it, LTE has a theoretical cap above 120Mbps (proven in lab tests) while WiMAX has always capped at 70Mbps... by true definition, LTE yes, WiMAX no ☹️

MetroPCS has deployed LTE in a fashion that caps out at 1.2 Mbps - is it still 4G?

The whole moniker "4G" is broken. It needs to die and give way to a scalable network definition.
